Rebotics Genius Sandton (R850 pm)

Robotics Genius program is a 3 hour training session on Saturdays for a period of 6 months taking place at City Lodge in Sandton . The Robotics 4 Kids Academy pedagogical approach builds competency in 21st century learning skills

Through the exploration of technology and robotics, students will build their confidence and capabilities in creativity and innovation, computational thinking, and critical analysis.

1.Learning Goals. 

Create a program in RoboScratch using actions, movements and sounds.

Technical Skills:

• Code linear, sequential programs using RoboScratch

• Differentiate between immediate and delayed actions

• Control robot movement

• Activate and use peripheral information

2. Program the robot to tell a joke or recite a poem.

Technical Skills:

• Code linear, sequential programs using Blockly

• Analyze and predict speech patterns

• Trigger and time audio output

• Adjust speech recognition confidence intervals

3. Navigate a course within a specified time limit using speech recognition and then by creating a Blockly program

Technical Skills:

• Calculate, plan and analyze robot movements

• Code sequential programs using Blockly

• Adjust speech recognition confidence intervals

• Trigger and navigate movement4. Generate and decode secret messages using QR codes and the camera

Technical Skills:

• Encode QR information

• Analyze variable data

• Append text to a string

• Output audio

5. Design and share a custom choreography timed to a favorite piece of music.

Technical Skills:

• Synchronize servo movements to audio

• Calculate servo angles and positioning

• Create a mobile app interface

• Share projects across robots

Saturday, 8th May 2021(7-16 yrs)In Gauteng, City Lodge Hotel Sandton, Katherine Street

The course will run every Saturdays according to the following times and age group for a period of 6 months(May-October)

09H00 – 12H00 : Age Group 7-11 yrs 

13H00 – 16H00: Age Group 12-16 yrs

Monthly Fee : R850.00

Kit: – 

The Neo Kit 1.0,EZ Humanoid Robot Kit and Software is not included in the course fee.

The kits remains the property of Robotics 4 Kids Academy.

Class room size:

We normally train a maximum of 12 kids but due to COVID19 restrictions we have reduced the number to 6 kids per group
